Holiday Shower Curtains

  • Posted on November 8, 2009 at

To celebrate the holidays in style it is important to pick a color scheme that will carry through out every room of your home. Choosing the right holiday shower curtains is essential to bringing the spirit of Christmas to your bathroom.

Making a Statement

Your holiday shower curtain will make a statement as to what your personality is all about. You can choose a decor that is fun and whimsical or one that is more sophisticated and elegant. Keep in mind that your bathroom decor should match the style of the rest of your home. If you have decorated the rest of the house with quiet elegance then a whimsical bathroom will sound a jarring note to your overall decorating scheme.

The same is true if you have created a winter wonderland through out the rest of your home and then decide to go with an elegant bathroom decor. It simply will not blend in and will set an off tone.

Once you have established the tone for your overall decorations then you can start searching for the perfect holiday shower curtain to match that tone.

Whimsical Tone

If you have chosen a whimsical mood for your decor than finding a holiday shower curtain to match that tone will be a simple easy process. There is a wide variety of shower curtains to choose from. Everything from fat jolly Santas to Snowmen to Reindeer are available for you to choose from.

If you have a large bathroom a full picture holiday shower curtain might be ideal, but if your bathroom is on the small size, it is better to stick to small prints with borders so your curtain does not overpower the rest of the room.

Elegant and Chic

If you have chosen a more elegant and chic decorating style then you will want to choose a holiday shower curtain that reflects that style. Simple designs and limited colors are best to create a more elegant atmosphere.

A plain white holiday shower curtain with a wide red or gold border might be just what you are looking for. Repeating the colors in matching towels or towels with matching colors with accent your curtain beautifully and set exactly the tone you want.

For example if you choose a plain white curtain with a large red border at the top or bottom then you will either want to purchase matching towel or at least some plain red and white towels you can roll and tie with opposite colored ribbon to enhance your shower curtain and carry your decorating scheme through out the bathroom.

Adding red and white candles in Crystal holders to a stand in your bathroom can also accent your shower curtain and help to carry your theme.

Choosing the right holiday shower curtains can enhance the overall decorating scheme of your home and bring the spirit of Christmas to the most used room of the house. Making your home bright for the holidays can reflect your personality and your sense of style to all who visit.

Shower curtains are still found in many bathrooms despite the many designs in over tub shower doors. For the nature lover, there are animal prints, plants and flowers. Children are bound to like the very colorful themes, often with their favorite characters featured.
